Is there anything you do on days like today where the 5% stop loss kicks in but the stocks close -2% for the day?
This happens to me more than I would like, and it can be frustrating.
I would watch that stock and buy it back if it acts right. You probably have the right stock, and just did not have the right entry. Stay on the stock, and don't let it get away. If it fails, then you can let it go, and if it shows strength you can always buy it back. Sometimes we need to buy and sell several times until the stocks starts to move in our favor. More often than not, you have the right stock, and just have the timing off a little bit.
Stay with it...
